Speeches and Snacks: A Showcase of Toastmasters Talent in Area A27

On November 19th, Toastmasters from across Area A27 gathered at the Seton Library for “Speeches and Snacks,” an engaging event hosted by Polina Arapov, Area Director for District 42. Designed to highlight the creativity and skill within the area, the evening welcomed members and guests to enjoy an informal, friendly contest format.

Participants competed in two light-hearted categories. The first was a Tall Tales speech event, where speakers delivered short, fictional stories—some humorous, some imaginative, and all crafted to captivate the audience. The second category featured Table Topics Evaluations, giving attendees the chance to demonstrate their quick-thinking and constructive feedback abilities.

Glenmore RSVP Toastmasters was strongly represented at the event.

  • Scott Arnall and Vincent Varga took to the stage in the Tall Tales category with engaging and creative speeches.
  • Judy Arnall participated by delivering a Table Topic response.
  • Lauren Makar showcased her analytical skills in the Table Topics Evaluation category.

Both Scott and Lauren delivered standout performances, finishing in the top three of their respective categories and making the club proud.

With its relaxed atmosphere, diverse speeches, and supportive community spirit, “Speeches and Snacks” successfully celebrated the talent within Area A27—and left attendees excited for future events.
